The images are not of any King Pharaoh or Kind Namrud, as being misled in a few social media posts these days. These grotesque artefacts have been forgotten as these were made hidden after the revelation of facts that these are not for what they were being praised for. These jeweled skeletons that revitalized the faith of Catholics during the Counter-Reformation in Europe are featured in a new book by art historian and photographer Paul Koudounaris. Records concerning the decoration of St Valerius in Weyarn are incomplete, but similarities in technique with the relic of Albertus in Burgrain suggest there may be a connection between the two.
